December 2nd 2023. U11 Boys beaten by South Birmingham.

Updated: Dec 8, 2023

The Wolverhampton boys were hit by a storm indoors on another frosty morning as a well organised South Birmingham team led 3-1 at the break despite a good strike from Kingston Hines Boddie. Our opponents showed quality in possession throughout and created numerous chances whereas our build up tended to be predictable and inconsistent, and in the second half they really exploited our deficiences. The Wolverhampton lads kept trying of course, and they scored two good goals after the interval, but we conceded six times to end the game with a 9-3 defeat. Claudiu scored from close range, after Rory's well taken free kick was parried by the keeper, and Rory conjured up another goal for himself from a tight angle, but individual flair is not sufficient to win games consistently at this level. A great improvement is needed from the team as a whole if we are to match the quality of some of these Birmingham District teams after Christmas.

Squad : Armandas Jolke, Nico Dunstan-Grey, Tailon Simpson Taylor, Kingston Hines-Boddie,

Hope Emmanuel Epie Etuge , Kyze Hines-Boddie, Evan Lawrence, Rory Butler, Claudio Flore, Malachi Wadron, Kai, Kian Evans.
