February 10th 2024. U11 Boys beaten by Sutton Coldfield.

Facing Sutton Coldfield isn't easy at the best of times but our task was made even harder due to a confusion over the kick off times. This meant that we had to start the game as soon as we arrived without a warm up and it was certainly a contributing factor to a disappointing first half performance in which we failed to put any worthwhile moves together. 2-0 down at the interval, we certainly had a mountain to climb but the lads staged a spirited recovery after the break and pulled a goal back through a stunning strike through Rory Butler which flew into the net giving the keeper no chance. The Wolves lads were visibly inspired by the goal and they went on to create numerous chances but the equaliser eluded us and as we threw all caution to the wind Sutton were able to hit us on the break and we conceded two further goals (one a penalty).Joel Badu got a late consolation 5 minutes from the end and once again it was a stunner. We might not score as many goals as the opposition but when we do they are certainly spectacular!
