The U10's travelled to The Vale Stadium in Birmingham and defeated Aston 7-2 with 4 goals from Max Gilbert and a Billy Kerchad hat trick whilst co-incidentally just down the road our U12's and U14's were both playing their opening West Mids fixtures away to Aston, Erdington & Saltley.
The newly formed U12's found themselves two goals down midway through the first half but pulled a goal back from a corner just before half time and went on to win 3-2 with a spirited comeback. Josh Tarbuck (2) and Lewis Aneke produced clinical finishes to give us the points but it was our superbly marshalled defence which must take the plaudits for the way in which they consistently repelled the onslaught from the home side.
Our U14's still contain many of last season's championship winning side and they had a far more comfortable morning scoring three goals in each half to achieve a deserved win despite AES giving a never say die performance. Harvey Pratt hit a hat trick and Reece Walters, Elisio Mutoko and Tyrese Hughes were also on target in a 6-0 victory.
