Wolves 0 – 2 Telford
Team: Ollie, Prem, Harry, Jack, Joe, Andre, Aaron, Max, Elliot, Fabio, Ricky, Ethan, Rohi, Beau

Our first game at our new home, Bilston Primary School, didn’t quite go to plan. Nevertheless, the effort and commitment from the Wolverhampton boys was excellent throughout and we were somewhat unlucky not to score first. Elliot was put through and his shot cannoned off the post, with Ricky unable to put in the rebound. A lot of our success in the first half came down the Telford right hand side, with Ricky and Aaron linking up well on numerous occasions. We were caught too high up the pitch for Telford’s first and a driving run from midfield allowed a well worked goal to go in past Joe, who was wrong footed and couldn’t do anything about the finish. More pressure from both teams and more missed chances is how the first half finished. The only downside was an injury to Elliot who got a knock on his knee. Wolves 0-1 Telford HT
This hampered our progress going forward in the second half and Telford grabbed a second goal, with an unmarked header from a corner. As the teams were rotated, the intensity dropped from the Wolves boys and Telford, with Jerome Abbey outstanding in midfield, peppered the Wolves goal. Joe Rutter was equal to every shot, pulling off some incredible saves and was everyone’s Man Of The Match today. Ricky had a couple of chances, including a header from a corner that was smartly saved by the Telford goalkeeper. A high-quality game and the score did not reflect the amount of chances each team had. Without the heroics of the goalkeepers on show the score could have been a lot higher for both teams. As ever, it was a pleasure to play against Telford and it was another close encounter, however Telford won this time by two clear goals (the last three games between the teams have been settled by the odd goal). Looking forward to more games against our friends from up the M54!
