After several postponements due to the weather the Primary lads were at last able to get their season up and running and they defeated a spirited Gloucester outfit without hitting their best form. Josh Norton gave us the lead only for our opponents to draw level after Balkwill in the visitors goal had defied us on numerous occasions. Bohdi Shields eventually got the winner from the penalty spot but the 2-1 scoreline was too close for comfort. Rome Taylor was our man of the match.
The news on the Secondary front was less positive, however, with defeats for both of our teams in action. The U13's entertained Nuneaton but were sadly depleted and injuries and withdrawals certainly took their toll. Taking everything into consideration this could be construed as a moral, if not an actual, victory with Lewis Aneke finding the target in a 2-1 defeat.
The U14's were also extremely unfortunate to lose 1-0 after absolutely hammering Solihull in the second half. We just couldn’t convert our opportunities and we even missed a penalty which would have squared the match!
