Wolverhampton Schools under 12 Girls side produced an excellent all‑round performance on Sunday March 1 st to secure a comprehensive victory in this 9‑a‑side friendly at Moreton School against a strong NAR Sports side who arrived with a squad packed with quality, featuring players from Stoke City, Crewe and Port Vale Academies and Emerging Talent Centres. Wolverhampton started the game brightly and Jaxxon had a couple of early efforts on goal that were well saved by the North Shropshire goalkeeper but both teams looked lively in attack during the opening stages and at the other end we were indebted to Ethan for keeping the scores level. Wolverhampton made a fantastic start against Aston and in the opening minutes, Jakson showed excellent awareness in goal, to spot Corban’s run, and his long clearance bounced over the Aston defender, enabling Corban to lift the ball over the advancing keeper to give us the lead with a composed finish.
