March 1st 2026. U14’s win the battle of our senior teams.

Our u14 and u15 Girls teams provided a great showcase for Wolverhampton District girl football and treated the crowd to some exciting football crowd when they faced each other on Sunday March 1st at the Sporting Khalsa Stadium. Wolverhampton Schools FA have organised district representative schools football for over a century and this type of fixture between two age groups used to be played quite regularly but unfortunately in has become a rarity today.

This is a great pity and we have revived the tradition as a way of paying tribute to our u15 players who have represented us so well in recent times. All of them in some way helping to lead the way for girls’ football not only within their own school but also across the city. It is a great reminder of how much the game has progressed over the last decade and it is incredibly refreshing to now see girls enjoying and thriving in a game that has given so much enjoyment to so many people down the years.

The game was played in a fantastic spirit and proved to be a great advert for Wolverhampton District football and the coaches would like to thank all the players and supporters who helped create such a positive atmosphere on the day. There was some excellent football on view from both teams but youthful enthusiasm eventually won the day with the u14’s claiming a 3-0 victory with goals from Rosie Butler-Hollington, Grace Lambert and Nya Nwafor.
