February 14th 2026. u10 Boys on top form.

reallyTeam manager Jazz Bains challenged the u10 players to use this friendly against Erdington as an opportunity to develop their passing, teamwork and  patterns of play, and the lads certainly responded by producing a disciplined performance against an energetic opponent. Both sides were clearly focussed on keeping possession and building attacks with purpose but Wolverhampton could hardly have made a better start as we took the lead with our very first attack. Sehaj striking a powerful effort from the edge of the box which took a heavy deflection off a defender and wrong-footed the goalkeeper before finding the net. Wolverhampton continued to press and Bertie came close to doubling the lead, but shortly after his effort was cleared off the line, Erdington broke quickly and found an equaliser.

Not to be denied, Arjan, who was having a really impressive game, restored our advantage once again with a moment of real quality when he lifted a composed finish over the advancing goalkeeper to make it 2–1 and within minutes Jaxxon surged  forward from deep midfield and unleashed a strong shot that was brilliantly pushed onto the post by the Erdington keeper. The team then produced the type of football that our manager had asked for — confident passing and intelligent movement involving Jaxxon and Sehaj before Arjan was played through. He powered his shot past the goalkeeper to extend the lead to 3–1.

At half-time, Jazz encouraged the players to maintain their high standards and challenged Arjan to complete his hat-trick and the lad duly obliged. He began the second half by continuing to press high and he was able to intercept a loose pass as Erdington attempted to play out from the back, before driving a low,  unstoppable finish, past the goalkeeper to make the score  4–1. Wolverhampton didn’t sit back on their laurels, however, and continued to create chances. Lucas struck the post, Bertie was denied by a smart save as the goalkeeper smothered his effort, and then with the final attack of the game, the lads added a fifth. Bertie’s shot was saved, Aaron’s follow-up was also blocked, but the ball fell kindly to the influential Jaxxon, who calmly finished to seal a 5–1 victory with the last kick of the match.

Jaxxon, hat-trick hero Arjan and Sehaj were standout performers, while our goalkeeper Ethan Thumber-Morris impressed on his first outing producing a confident and assured display but this was above all another strong team performance full of quality, effort and intelligent football. Squad: Ethan Thumber-Morris (GK), Leo, Jaxxon, Aaron, Lucas, Arjan, Bertie, Sehaj.
