The u11 Boys began the morning against Kings Norton in a good position to win the league and, despite knowing the importance of this fixture, they had no reason to fear the opposition in the light of their recent excellent form but what could go wrong, did go wrong, and they were never able to fight back after conceding a couple of early goals.

Kings Norton grew in confidence as the match progressed and whatever changes were made the squad seemed unable to find a way to contain the opposition's clinical attack, and at the end of the game the lads were obviously deflated after losing 6-1 and having just the consolation of an own goal following Lucas’s corner to show for all their efforts. Nevertheless, onwards and upwards. The team must now regroup for the semi-final next week. When one door closes another one opens and this match offers a fresh start and a direct path to the final!!
