We faced the daunting task this morning of facing a Kings Norton side who are in the league above us but despite not being able to put out our full squad the lads certainly rose to the challenge. We knew it was always going to be a tough game but we competed well all over the pitch and looked the most likely team to score before our opponents snatched the lead against the run of play just before the interval.Ironically our keeper had not been required to make a save of note until that point and it was Kings Norton who were frantically ringing the changes in a desperate attempt to get a foothold in the game. Even then there was an element of luck about the goal we conceded as Josh had made a brilliant save only for the rebound to be bundled over the line.Facing a 1-0 deficit we made crucial changes for the second half with R'khi going in goal and Aarav moving into midfield and the change of formation brought instant results. Aarav's strong running was too much for our opponents to handle and his hat trick was well deserved. Our domination at this point was total and in all honesty we should have scored further goals, with Josh going close on more than one occasion, before Kings Norton scored a consolation goal just before the final whistle.Above all this was a great team performance, but we must make special mention of Aarav for his intelligent finishing and Josh and R'Khi for being so solid both in and out of goal.
Squad: Josh Ruby, Ayomede Ogundairo, Aarav Wilkhoo, R'Khi Price, Harry Bradley, Zach Myers, Caesar Robertson, Jaxon Boulton, Max, Emmanuel, Logan Miles.
