October 31st 2025. Halloween treat for the u11 Girls.

This was a very entertaining competitive game played in blustery conditions, with both sides displaying lots of skill, effort, and determination. Leeds settled the quicker of the two teams, and by passing the ball neatly and adapting well to the wind they quickly established a 3-0 lead. Our opponents looked composured and the game was looking well beyond us at that stage but the

Wolverhampton girls weren’t about to give in, and indeed they grew stronger as the match progressed showing real character and teamwork in the face of adversity. The fightback began with a moment of brilliance from Olivia, who unleashed a stunning long-range strike that flew into the net and her goal lifted both her teammates and the home supporters alike.

Moments later, Wolverhampton struck again with Sienna displaying fantastic technique and confidence to fire a powerful right-footed shot from just outside the area, leaving the Leeds goalkeeper helpless to make the score 2–3 and the most unlikely of comebacks was truly on. The closing stages were end-to-end, with both teams pushing for more goals and giving everything right to the final whistle but it was Leeds who finally came out on top. Leeds probably just about deserved their victory but football was the real winner. This was such an exciting and enjoyable match for both players and spectators alike and it was wonderful to see such sportsmanship. A brilliant performance full of spirit, teamwork, and resilience — and great to see the Wolverhampton girls matching one of the strongest school teams in the country stride for stride.
