November 22nd 2025. u14 Girls beaten at the death.

The u14 girls travelled to The Wirral for this Champions Cup group fixture and not surprisingly took a little time to settle as the home side , showing their pace and physical strength, were able to establish an early two–goal lead. However, a hard-working and determined Wolverhampton outfit grew into the game, pressing the hosts and creating chances of their own and their persistence was finally rewarded just before half-time.Leja producing a superb curling strike from outside the box to pull a goal back and as a result we emerged from the break full of confidence and up for the fight.

The second half was a thrilling end-to-end contest, with both teams pushing for the next breakthrough and Wolverhampton deservedly levelled the match at 2-2 with a super goal. Jess Pullan rising to head home from Grace's fantastically delivered corner and the momentum had certainly begun to swing in our favour. Despite all our pressure, however, it was Wirral who found the winner with just ten minutes remaining. A bitter pill to take because our girls certainly deserved something from the game because every one of our players had given so much on such a cold evening. Their work rate, spirit, and togetherness were outstanding, and we are extremely proud of the effort they put in and Rich and Jas would also like to thank those parents who made the long journey for their continued support.
