Year 10/11 Girls' Futsal City Competition

Highfields, Our Lady & St Chad, Wolverhampton Grammar School, The Royal, and NEWA all took part in this year’s City Futsal competition which was played in such a wonderful spirit. The standard of play was outstanding, with every school showing determination and steady improvement as the day progressed and we were so impressed by the commitment, sportsmanship, and high level of skill on view throughout the tournament!

After a closely contested league stage Our Lady & St. Chad and The Royal qualified for the final and there was so little between them that the two teams could only be separated by penalties at the end of a tightly fought contest. St. Chad’s held their nerve to become City Champions after securing a 4–2 victory on penalties but all the teams are to be congratulated for making this competition such a memorable occasion.
