March 11th 2026.u14 Girls win again to continue their winning run of form.

Wolverhampton Schools’ u14 Girls Representative Team produced another impressive performance under the floodlights to defeat Kidderminster Harriers Girls in this Wednesday evening fixture at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. The match also had an interesting dynamic, as two Wolverhampton players are also part of the Kidderminster Harriers set-up, but

whilst Leja Lopetaitiene was unavailable for the fixture, Issy Campbell did feature for Kidderminster and had the daunting task of facing her  Wolverhampton teammates.

The game was played in a positive and competitive spirit, with both teams contributing to an entertaining encounter and there was little to separate the two sides in the opening exchanges but once Emma Halford had given Wolverhampton a deserved lead midway through the first half the match began to swing in our favour. Emma’s excellent finish had come after a sustained spell of pressure and we were able to take our slender advantage into the break. There was still much to play for of course but the girls continued to play some lovely football and they were able to maintain this level of intensity throughout the second half. Beth Evans virtually sealed the win when she scored our second goal and our management team of Rich and Jas were quick to praise the effort and attitude of the whole squad.

Every single one of them had worked so hard to achieve this 2-0 margin of victory. It was yet another brilliant performance and their attitude and willingness to support each other is truly remarkable. Everyone is really looking forward to the next match against Sefton in April and these last few games in particular have given us so much positivity as we begin to plan for next season. The fact that we continue to receive so much support from our parents is also most encouraging and we cannot thank you enough.
