On paper this should have been a close game as Liverpool and The Wirral are clearly stronger than the other teams in the group but Doncaster, coming off the back of a close defeat to Barnsley, were determined that this would be their morning and they thoroughly deserved their victory. At times our lads really struggled against our opponents physicality and,whilst it was very difficult for us to get a foothold in the game, the 10-1 scoreline was a little harsh. Aide Yeomans scored our consolation goal.
