November 7th 2025. Super draw for the u14 Girls.

This National Cup game under the floodlights at the famous Lilleshall National Sports Centre turned out to be a really special evening for the U14 Girls and we were really proud of the way that they represented the city. They showed tremendous skill, teamwork, and determination from the kick off and dominated much of the first half , creating several excellent chances and playing some outstanding football, only to see Salford take a 1–0 lead into the interval as a result of an isolated breakaway goal.

Undeterred, the girls came out fighting after the restart and levelled the scores when Rosie finished confidently after superb build-up play but just as the momentum seemed to be turning our way Salford hit back with two goals and we found ourselves chasing the game once again. The first arrived from a a corner, and the second when we left ourselves exposed in our desire to push forward, but rather than feel sorry for themselves, the team in white and black refused to capitulate and their response was nothing short of breathtaking.

Goalkeeper Poppy produced two brilliant saves to keep her side in contention, which set the stage for a thrilling final ten minutes, and once Georgia had reduced the arrears from a well-worked corner, the crowd sensed we were far from finished. With the team piling on the pressure, something had to give and Jess Osborne sparked huge celebrations as her looping effort over the keeper secured a richly deserved 3–3 draw. Our managers  Rich Halford and Jas Singh were full of praise for their players who had worked so hard on this night to remember and the team should be so proud of themselves. Every player displayed passion, and outstanding effort to snatch the draw but apart from the result, it was the way that the girls played together, supported each other, and showed what it means to wear the badge that was truly inspirational.
