October 31st 2025. u11 Boys entertain Leeds

The Wolverhampton Schools U11 boys took on Leeds Schools FA in an exciting and competitive friendly that showcased plenty of skill, teamwork, and determination from both sides.Leeds started the stronger, moving the ball quickly and adapting well to the conditions and with our lads struggling to cope with their opponents sharp passing and clinical finishing, we soon found ourselves chasing a 3-0 deficit. But true to form, we refused to give in and moments after Lucas had pulled a goal back for Wolverhampton with a brilliant strike from the edge of the box, Thai produced a moment of real class which promised to turn the game on its head. He bent a superb free-kick around the Leeds wall into the corner of the net to make it the score 2–3 and the comeback was truly on.

The Wolverhampton lads were growing in confidence, and by pressing high and creating chances, the game remained finely balanced after the break. Lucas went close to equalising with another powerful effort, and if the ball had gone in at that point who knows what would have happened but unfortunately Leeds struck next and that strike was to prove decisive. Mubashar had made a fantastic save from the initial volley but he was powerless to save the rebound and Leeds had done enough to seal the win. Despite the final 4-2 scoreline, however, Wolverhampton could once again take plenty of positives from their performance. There were strong individual displays across the pitch , full of effort and moments of real quality and for most of the game we more than matched a very talented Leeds side.

Squad: Mubashar, Charlie, Nihaal, Fabien, Zora, Lucas, Thai, Jaxxon, Mustafa, Monroe,Hassan.
