May 3rd 2024. A great effort from the Primary Girls B team.

Wolverhampton entered two teams for this end of season 5-a-side competition and the B team performed really well in terrible weather conditions finishing runner up in their league despite having no recognised striker in their side. Rosie and Elia set the evening off perfectly by scoring in a 2-1 victory over East Birmingham, however, and we probably should have beaten Walsall in their next match, after Skye had given us the lead, but Walsall came back to score with virtually the last kick of the game and, after a 0-0 draw against North Shropshire and a narrow 1-0 defeat to the Sutton Coldfield, the eventual champions, our chance of topping the group had vanished.

Another Skye goal propelled us to a 1-0 win against South Staffs ,however, and we concluded the evening with a 0-0 draw against Harbourne. All things considered this was a really great effort from the team though, and from Nick Loftus of course, who stepped into the puddles to encourage the girls on the night.

Team: Skye Hines, Elia Jackson, Rosie, Rhea Sangha, Delilah Hard.
